The concomitant administration of agents with hypotensive effects and psychotherapeutic agents (e.g., anxiolytics, sedatives, hypnotics, antidepressants, antipsychotics), narcotic analgesics, alcohol, or muscle relaxants may additively increase hypotensive and/or central nervous system depressant effects.
Hi,
Regarding ur second qs i want to add some more info.
Corticosteroids given by inhalation route causes Orophyrangeal candidiasis and the chance increases if its is used without spacers. 80-% of the inhaled drug renains deposited in mouth and pharynx or swallowed. Only 10-20 remain that is not deposited remain in the airway.
SPACER: it is a large volume chamber attached to inhaler and is used to decrease the deposition of drug in mouth. The chamber allows large drug particles to be deposited in device, The small particles less likely to be deposited in mouth are allowed to reach the airway tissues and inthis way it decrese the chance of candidiasis.
