Post subject: adc part 1 exam syllabus
can anyoone teel me syllabus of part one australian dental council exam[/quote]
when u apply for the part1 exams, u get a list of books to study. Read all of them and ADC part 1 is not that difficult to crack
Where did u prepared ur MCQs from and also what is the pass mark in MCQ part of ADC. Furthermore how many questions did u got in the MCQ as well as Short answer part. Kindly reply this query.
I just read most of the books in the list and also referred the last 5 years BDJ and Quintessence journals. In fact I studied only 3 and a half months so I think its not that hard. Luckily in this exam u can afford to fail in 3 out of 7 topics. So to pass u have to pass in only 4 out of the 7 sections and pass the short answers. There is one compulsory short answer and u have to choose 2 out of 3 more short answers. So in total 3 short answers. They too are very general and any 4th year student should be able to answer them. Just write to the point and in points. No need for elaborate essays. I actually did not go thru any MCQ books as I did not really take the exam that seriously. However I think any MCQ book should be fine. The exam is definitely easier than any Indian MCQ test for PG entrance exam.

To pass any exam one has to be innovative and be at the right place at the right time. So it all depends how determined you are. To get access to any book, the best place is of course is any medical/dental library. So check out ur university libraries, or the National Medical Library. These are common dental books, so getting access to them is no big deal. And anyway, anyone who has passed BDS reading only class notes and has no history of reading variouys textbooks will obviously find it hard. The text books you used during your students days are good enough to start with.
The best placed are those who are working as teaching staff members in Dental teaching colleges and universities. But its upto you to be innovative and go for what u believe in.
