Dear Doctors,
The budget is probably not something on the top of our wish list, but today's Union Budget has allocated a whooping Rs 8,207 crore towards the National Rural Health mission.
All of us know the state of Rural Health in India. There has also been a proposal to make it compulsory to render rural service for doctors. Some doctors have balked at this proposal.
However, if I am not mistaken there is a clause for compulsory rural service in Maharashtra before the candidate takes up his/her PG seat.
So how many of us is willing to sweat it out in the rural countryside before taking up that PG seat?
