Update: Errata: Articles on writing referral letters...

Author: Akil, Posted on Tuesday, May 30 @ 13:48:50 IST by Akil

From Editorial Desk

In the two articles articles published on 29 May, 2006 on writint referral letters the preferred order of the section is altered

I had unconventionally given the order as

Two kinds of referral letters Sample format of referral letter to the Dental Specialist
  1. Referral To

  2. Patient Details

  3. Referral From

  4. Body of the letter (clinical information)

The conventional order should be

  1. Referral From

  2. Referral To

  3. Patient Details

  4. Body of the letter (clinical information)

Usually the letters are writted via personal letter pads and so, the first section of Referral From Details will already be printed as headers and in practice it might not be routinely need to be writted manually, though for the OET exercise purpose, it is better that one writes it!

The same changes have been changed in the article itself and if kindly make a note of this change!

Regards,

Akil
